We are pleased to announce that Covenco365, and Covenco UK have become a new single entity under a new brand; Covenco.

By combining the Covenco UK business with that of Covenco365, we see the whole as being greater than the sum of the parts. We will continue to work with our customers and partners, as Covenco, to provide a full-service offering comprising hardware brokerage, new infrastructure,  disaster recovery services, data backup, cybersecurity and managed services. We maintain our technical competence in all these aspects of our service delivery and offer customers and partners simplified dealings under a single brand.

We are also pleased to announce that Covenco has achieved its ISO27001 certification as a joint entity as a prerequisite to this formal merger. In the future, all Covenco customers can be assured that the entire Covenco operation will work to ISO27001 information security standards.

OUR HISTORY

How Covenco has evolved over the last 34 years

Covenco UK Ltd was formed in 1989 by two young entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity to export used IBM computer equipment from the UK to Chile. Over the next ten years the company grew, it established a UK warehouse/engineering facility and developed both an international brokerage arm and a UK end-user sales force.

In 2002, with an established UK customer base, experienced technical resources, and seeing demand for an innovative, reliable, good-value IT disaster recovery offering, Covenco Recovery Services Ltd (CRS) was formed. Initially, CRS provided, what is now considered traditional DR. Delivering replacement IT equipment to a customer site when they had a disaster, or if a customer site was unavailable due to the disaster, providing a hosted system in one of the CRS data centres and workplace seats for customer staff to relocate to.

Twenty years after recognising that CRS had evolved to offer so much more than just traditional IT disaster recovery, it rebranded to Covenco365. The business had developed into a modern data management company providing its clients with data protection, availability, and security 24×7.

During this time, the Covenco group as a whole did not stand still. We established offices in Denmark, Ireland, and Spain, a second warehouse/engineering facility in the USA and it gained OEM reseller accreditations to sell new IT solutions.

As a prerequisite to this formal merger, Covenco UK achieved its ISO27001 certification in December 2022, previously only held by Covenco365. Going forward all Covenco’s clients can be assured that the entire Covenco operation will operate with regard to all aspects of ISO27001 information security levels.
