The Dell Poweredge R730XD is a 2U rackmount server with different basic chassis types, 12 x 3.5” hard drive bays, 24 x 2.5”, and a hybrid mode with 18 x 1.8” and 8 x 3.5” combined.
It is a dual-socket machine supporting either one or two E5-2600 V3 or E5-2600 V4 series Intel processors.
The system supports DDR4 memory and depending on the processor can achieve a data transfer rate of 2400MT/s.
The R730XD is capable of having up to 99.6TB of storage in the 3.5” range.
