TS2250 provides a physical storage capacity of up to 3.0 TB (with 2:1 compression) in conjunction with the IBM LTO Ultrium 1.5 TB data cartridge, nearly double the capacity of LTO Ultrium 4 cartridges.

With the SuperSpeed USB-3 feature on the TS2250 tape drives, customers can benefit from native USB-3 for plug-and-play installation.

SuperSpeed USB will deliver up to 10 times the data transfer rate of Hi-Speed USB, as well as improved power efficiency. The TS2250 (3580-H5S) also supports dual-port SAS attachment on IBM systems.
