The IBM FS5015 (Models 2072-2N2 and 2072-2N4) and FS5035 (Models 2072-3N2 and 2072-3N4) feature two node canisters in a compact, 2U 19-inch rackmount enclosure.  With each available in SFF or LFF format, the four different models deliver a range of performance, scalability, and functional capabilities.

The FS5015 is an entry-level solution focused on affordability and ease of deployment and operation. Featuring dual node canisters with a two-core processor and up to 64GB cache, it includes many IBM Spectrum Virtualize features and offers multiple flash and disk drive storage media and expansion options for up to 380 drives.

The FS5035 provides greater functionality, including powerful encryption capabilities and data reduction pools with compression, deduplication, thin provisioning, and the ability to cluster for scale-up and scale-out.  Featuring dual node canisters with a six-core processor and up to 64GB cache, along with the ability to add more Expansion enclosures, this model delivers support for up to 504 drives.

Both models feature 1Gb iSCSI connectivity as standard, with optional 16 GbFC, 12Gb SAS, 10Gb iSCSI, and 25Gb iSCSI connectivity.
